Frequently Asked Questions
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.
How Does The Dryboat International® Process Work?
Dryboat International® uses a special, non-invasive boat core drying system to remove moisture from damaged areas. We make small access points in the boat and blow in warm, super-dry air to target the moisture. This drying process works on balsa cores, plywood cores, foam cores, and other materials often used in boats. It helps fix moisture damage without cutting or tearing into the boat’s structure.
Our technicians keep a close eye on the drying process from start to finish. We adjust the system as needed to help every part of your boat meet surveyor-approved moisture levels. You can trust that the boat’s original structure stays exactly the same — we never change its design.
How Much Does The Dryboat International® Process Cost?
Compared to traditional cut-and-replace methods, Dryboat International® offers a smarter, more affordable solution. Our non-destructive drying process usually costs less—and keeps your boat’s core intact.
Dryboat International® restores your boat to top condition while protecting its performance and resale value—at a lower cost than traditional repairs.
How Long Does The Dryboat International® Process Take?
Every boat is different, but Dryboat International® dries faster than any cut-and-replace method we’ve seen.
After around two weeks of drying, we can get a better estimate of when the process will be complete.
What If The Coring In My Vessel Is Rotted?
Wet core, rotted core, and delamination are three different issues, each requiring a different approach.
At Dryboat International®, we check your boat carefully to choose the best non-destructive solution.
Will My Vessel Stay Structurally Sound After Restoration?
Absolutely!
Dryboat International® uses a non-invasive process that keeps your boat’s structure strong and original. We remove less than 2% of the core and fill it with tough, marine-grade materials. Your boat is fully restored—no cutting or design changes needed.
Do You Have A Crew In My Area?
Dryboat International® brings our mobile drying system to you.
We operate anywhere in the USA and Canada.
Do I Need A Survey To Have My Boat Dried?
You don’t need a marine survey to reach out, but Dryboat International® does need a recent moisture report to give an accurate quote. This helps us see where the moisture is, how deep it goes, and how to fix it the right way.
A professional survey also gives third-party proof of your boat’s condition. This can help with resale value, insurance, and showing results after the restoration is done.
Do You Service Vessels Under 30 Feet?
Dryboat International® focuses on moisture restoration for boats 30 feet and larger. Smaller vessels usually aren’t a good fit for our system due to setup time and cost.
